THE INAUGURAL MEETING OF THE JHAR POLITICAL FORUM IN ABUJA


 On November 23, 2024, the inaugural meeting of the Jhar Political Forum was held in Abuja, marking a significant step for the political unity of the Jhar people across multiple states in Nigeria. Convened by Comrade Butswat Gidado Manasseh, the forum brought together esteemed delegates from 11 states, including Bauchi, Plateau, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Yobe, Kaduna, Abuja, Niger, Taraba,  Kaduna, Katsina, and Port Harcourt. This assembly aims to foster a collaborative political landscape for Jhar sons and daughters, providing a collective platform to address common challenges and bolster their representation in local and national politics.



During the meeting, participants engaged in robust discussions centered around the formation and goals of the Jhar Political Forum. The delegates unanimously accepted the name proposed by the convener, emphasizing the need for a cohesive identity that encapsulates their shared heritage and aspirations. The forum seeks to unite the Jhar community, allowing for the establishment of elder councils and


 mentorship programs designed to empower younger generations and cultivate effective leadership within the movement. The collective prioritization of political advocacy and community development was underscored, with the goal of ensuring the Jhar people have a voice in pivotal political decisions.



As the Jhar Political Forum embarks on its journey, it stands poised to become a formidable force in the political arena, advocating for the rights and interests of the Jhar community. The meeting concluded with an optimistic outlook, as the delegates committed to a strategic action plan aimed at enhancing

 political participation and representation. This initiative is seen as a vital step toward rallying the Jhar


people behind common goals, ultimately contributing to the socio-economic advancement of their communities and the region as a whole. The Jhar Political Forum, through unity and collaboration, seeks to chart a new political course that honors their heritage and secures a prosperous future for all Jhar sons and daughters.
