In the heart of Jos, a shining star is rising, and his name is Amana Emmanuel Apollos.
At just 16 years old, this brilliant young son of Jhar Land has made his people proud by scoring an impressive 312 aggregate score in the 2025 UTME (JAMB). His subject scores are a reflection of his hard work and brilliance: English – 66, Economics – 84, Mathematics – 73, and Principles of Accounting – 89. With these results, Amana now stands among the top scorers in the nation, and undoubtedly one of the highest scorers from Plateau State.
Born on December 18, 2008, Amana began his early education at Mafeng Private Primary School, located along Old Legislative Quarters Road in Jos. He is currently a student of Baptist High School Jos, where his commitment to learning continues to shine bright. His story is more than just about high scores—it's a call to excellence for every child from Jhar Land. His success proves that no dream is too big and no goal is out of reach when you put your mind to it.
To the youth of Jhar Land, let Amana’s journey inspire you to study harder, stay focused, and aim high. Education remains a strong pillar for building a better future, and young minds like Amana are showing the way. Let his example remind every student that greatness is not limited to any one background—it is open to all who dare to work for it.
We also call on parents across Jhar Land to take a deeper interest in the academic growth of their children. Encourage them to be the best in school, to compete with confidence, and to make the community proud. When parents support education at home, greatness is born. A child that is nurtured with love, discipline, and learning can go on to change the world.
Amana's outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed. Some well-meaning sons and daughters of Jhar Land, amazed by his achievement, have come together to contribute a token of appreciation, led by MC Alura, a respected figure in the community. It is a beautiful reminder that when we celebrate and invest in our young achievers, we are building a future of hope and progress.
In addition, the Jhar Center for Sustainable Development Advocacy (JCSDA) has promised to reach out to Amana, not just to celebrate him, but to present him with a Certificate of Excellence—a small but meaningful way to show that the community recognizes and values academic excellence.
Amana Emmanuel Apollos is a beacon of hope and a symbol of what is possible when talent meets effort and community support. His journey has just begun, and with continued encouragement, we believe he will go on to achieve even greater things. To Amana, we say: keep blazing the trail! The sky is not your limit—it’s only the beginning. Jhar Land stands with you, celebrates you, and believes in you.
