JDA Abuja and Environs Visit Our Royal Father, the Ra’an Jhar, and the JDA National Executive Led by Hon. Yahuza Kyamsar and Hon. Isa Jika
On June 1st, 2025, the Jhar Development Association (JDA), Abuja Branch, took a significant step forward by reconnecting with its roots and reaffirming its commitment to unity, heritage, and development. A delegation of leaders journeyed to Dogon Ruwa in Kanam LGA, Plateau State, to pay homage to His Highness, the Ra’an Jhar. The visit was followed by an important engagement with the JDA National Executive, led by President Hon. Yahuza Kyamsar and Hon. Isa Jika. Together, these visits marked a renewed chapter of affirmation and recognition for the Abuja branch.
The delegation—comprising Sumalkya Ishaku Nafisu, Elder Maris Hamman, Chief John Mbutyum Nahuta, and Barrister Ashiru Hussaini Duguri—was warmly received by His Highness at exactly 4:00 PM. His Majesty extended royal blessings and commended the growth and structure of JDA Abuja, particularly its legal status as a registered association under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). His words were both encouraging and directive, affirming the branch’s efforts and offering guidance for the road ahead.
His Highness emphasized three core principles. First, the need to intensify mobilization efforts—encouraging the delegation to reach out to all Jhar sons and daughters within Abuja and its environs. Second, he advised that the Association remain politically neutral, focusing strictly on development and unity. Finally, he reminded the leadership to uphold integrity through transparency, honesty, and fairness in all activities.
The following day, the delegation met with the JDA National Executive, headed by President Hon. Yahuza Kyamsar and Hon. Isa Jika. The meeting served to address key issues and solidify the standing of the Abuja chapter. After reviewing documentation and leadership structure, the President officially endorsed JDA Abuja, recognizing its legitimacy and efforts under the leadership of Sumalkya Ishaku Nafisu. He applauded the branch’s resilience, especially in light of previous platform challenges, and encouraged continued transparency and organizational growth.
The National PRO provided historical context about the Association’s formation, achievements, and ongoing vision—strengthening the sense of shared identity across all Jhar communities. Hon. Isa Jika stressed the importance of inclusive structures that ensure every region and subgroup is represented and involved.
