Extended History of Jhar Got Talent (Now Known as Jhar Unity Nationwide - JUN)

Jhar Got Talent, currently operating under the banner of the Jhar Unity Nationwide (JUN) Association, is a remarkable initiative that unites and promotes the diverse cultural heritage of the Jhar people. By focusing on music, arts, and other creative expressions, the association provides a platform for nurturing talents and fostering cultural pride and unity among the sons and daughters of Jhar.

 Founding Visionaries 
The initiative was birthed in 2015 by three visionary young men whose passion for community development and cultural promotion ignited the journey:

1. Austin Gyara (KOC)
2. Amb. Smart Gizo
3. Joseph Silas Sanda (Cross)

These founders envisioned a dynamic platform that would celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of the Jhar people while offering opportunities for young talents to thrive. Their dedication and collaborative efforts laid the groundwork for what would become a beacon of unity and creativity for the Jhar community.

 Early Activities and Founding Artists

From the outset, Jhar Got Talent attracted a wave of enthusiastic young artists who played pivotal roles in establishing its reputation. Notable early contributors include:

- Austin Gyara (Koc)
- Amb. Smart Gizo
- Tadyum Ishaya (DeTrinity)
- Joseph Silas Sanda (Cross)
- Sinimbut Sunday (Bosko)
- Bilimsu Joshua (Pal J)
- Bilyaminu Daura (MC 10:30)
- Hosea Karfe (K2 Best)
- Tadkunam Majam
- Mc Zack's, among others.

These individuals showcased a diverse array of talents in music, dance, and comedy, paving the way for future successes.

Milestones and Major Events
Over the years, the group has achieved significant milestones through annual events that highlight the talents and cultural richness of Jhar.

2017 – First Major Event
Held on December 26, 2017, at Kunwur Central Primary School.

The event featured vibrant performances in music, dance, and comedy.

Sponsored by _Amb. Supunam Gidado Butswat mni (Ziggy), a_ consistent supporter of the association.

2018 – Planned Event at Kwaal Taknyili
Unfortunately, unforeseen challenges prevented the realization of this event.

2019/2020 – Event at Kwaal Primary School:-
Held on January 1, 2020, with exceptional performances by Jhar youth.

 Key highlights included:

- Musical and dance performances. 
 - A Beauty Pageant Contest, crowning Miss Jhar as a cultural ambassador .
- Presentation of awards to outstanding contributors to the group and the Jhar community. 

2021 – Event at Tadnum:
This year’s event was marked by awards recognizing the contributions of prominent Jhar sons and daughters.

2022 – Event at Gyangyang:
The program at Gyangyang spotlighted young talents and continued to emphasize cultural unity.

2023 – Event at Zakkam Pada:
Held at Zakkam Pada, this event further entrenched (JUN) as a vital cultural institution.

2024 – Upcoming Event at Dass LGA, Bauchi State

Scheduled for Dass LGA, this event promises to be another milestone in celebrating Jhar culture.

 Leadership and Coordination
The group has seen exemplary leadership over the years:

- Amb. Supunam Gidado Butswat mni (Ziggy) – Pioneer/Coordinator.
- Sen. Nasamu Noel – Deputy Coordinator.

 Transition of Leadership:

1. In 2021, the association formed a caretaker committee under Mr. Austine Iliya, who served as president from 2021 to 2022.

2. Leadership transitioned to Mr. Tadyum Ishaya in 2022 to oversee the association’s affairs.

3. In April 2022, Comr. Monday Y. Zailani was elected president. He currently serves, with a 3-year tenure as stipulated by the association’s guidelines.

 Looking Ahead-
Jhar Got Talent has transformed into a strong, unifying platform under the Jhar Unity Nationwide (JUN) umbrella. It continues to nurture creativity, uphold cultural values, and strengthen the bond among Jhar people.

As the association grows, it remains committed to preserving and promoting the traditions of the Jhar community, ensuring they thrive for future generations.
